Toast with apple and nut salsa

Here is a great idea to use up your leftover apples! This apple and nut salsa on 12 grains Bon Matin™ La mie de l’artisan™ bread is a delight!


  • 4 slices of 12 grains Bon Matin™ La mie de l’artisan™ bread
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 large apples (any kind)
  • 1/2 cup of mixed nuts (almonds, pecans, walnuts, etc.), chopped
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate arils
  • 1/4 cup vanilla Greek yogurt


  1. Cut the apples into small cubes and sprinkle them with cinnamon
  2. In a frying pan, brown the apples and nut mixture in butter for about 5 minutes, stirring regularly, until the nuts are golden brown, and the apples are slightly softened
  3. Add the maple syrup, mix well and cook for 2 minutes
  4. Remove from heat and add the pomegranate arils, then set aside
  5. Toast the slices of bread in the toaster
  6. Spread yogurt on each slice of bread and top with salsa
