Bacon, Tomato and Avocado Sandwich

Avocado and sprouts add a healthy twist to a classic BLT.


  • 4 slices Multigrain bread, toasted
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) low‑fat mayonnaise
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1/4 avocado, pitted, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) alfalfa sprouts
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked


  1. Spread mayonnaise over 2 slices of bread; layer tomato, avocado, alfalfa sprouts and bacon over top. Cap with remaining bread.

Tip: Substitute pea, sunflower or broccoli sprouts for alfalfa sprouts if desired.
